Serialized Assemblies Costing Method
In the midst of implementation--Has NS changed the options for serialized assemblies costing methods? Previously, my understanding was that all serialized assemblies' costing method was set to Specific, and I believe the Help Documentation reflects this as well. However, if I create a new serialized assembly today, I am able to select Standard (what we use for non-serialized assemblies and inventory items) and Average.
If the above is the case, what are the ups and downs of selecting (in our situation) Specific vs Standard as the costing method for serialized assemblies?
Thanks for any help and advice you can provide us.
