Customer Search not working

We cannot run email campaigns due to the defect listed below. This is affecting sales and I need this defect fixed asap. Please advise.


This notification is to provide you with a status update on defect 153063, (Lists > Relationships > Leads > Search: Cannot access customer search page due to notice: This search refers to customer field with id = Customer_CUSTSTAGE which either is restricted or is not applied to this record type) - (Pending Assignment).  Our Dev team is currently working on a resolution to your defect
