Madness with Published Saved Search

Anyone know what the secret sauce is?

I have a web site that should show a published saved search. I believe it worked at one time though I couldn't swear to it. A couple of weeks ago I noticed no results were being returned. I asked another person to file a case with NS support. I don't believe they did that and we ended up going live with the search based category broken.

I ended up contacting NS support about this and got a complete run-around. The customer is only on self-service support. The support resource claims to know the problem (though I have my doubts) and keeps on directing me to SuiteAnswers (on which I've tried unsucessfully to find anything relating to my issue).
