Detailed Description Errors in an Saved Item Search

Since version 2007.0.5 we have not been able to use the "direct edit" feature or export the detailed description field using any of our saved searches due to some unknown problem.

It has been reported on August 21, 2007 with Issue 130295: Saved Search> Detailed Description overrides the display of column alignment) but I haven't seen or heard anything that suggests it will be fixed anytime soon.

We need this functionality as it is so much easier to edit this information than calling up each part individually.  We can't export the data because the saved search is corrupt when you add this field to it.  The parts without an HTML reference in this field work fine.
