Item Groups vs Kits/Packages

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:42AM in Accounting / ERP 7 comments

Why is it that Item Groups cannot be utilised on the Web store?

We prefer Item Groups to Kits for the following reasons:
1. They provide report outcomes which expand out their member details (this would allow us to track service items as units)
2. They allow for dynamic price updating (since Item Group value is the sum of its members)

We prefer Kit/Packages because

1. They would allow us to use the Webstore and have Customers create their own quotes.
BUT they appear as single Kit entities on reports. And the Kit value isn't updated when the price of its members are changed. So price updates are one kit at a time

Howdy, Stranger!
