Superceded Inventory Items

Hi,

New to NS here so sorry if this has been discussed.  Our supplier often changes a part to a new part number that has the same form/fit/function that we call a superceded item.  Our previous system had "Superceded To" and "Superceded From" fields in order to easily cross reference the correct part.  I understand (maybe incorrectly) that this is not standard in NS.  Can anyone confirm and if so, provide advise for managing this?
