Statistical journal entry approval not appearing

I recently set up a new statistical account (this is the first one) and then created a statistical journal entry. I chose the approver and it is currently in "Pending Approval"; however, it is not appearing anywhere for the approver to approve. I assume some other setup needs to be done on the backend for statistical journal entries, is that correct? I reviewed documentation in SuiteAnswers with no luck, I'm surprised that the statistical journal entry wouldn't just flow the same way as a normal JE.
