How to transfer assembly items to non-manufacturing subsidiary
Hi, the client is in the beverages industry. The have multiple subsidaries/legal entities. One is the 'manufacturing company'. This subsidiary has the Bill of Material including all the inventory items (components) and non-inventory items (charges). The other legal entities/subsidiaries are sales companies. When I try to add the sales subsidiary to the Assembly item, the system errors 'Components are unavailable'. But when I try to activate the BOM and all of its components, the system does not let me add the sales subsidiary to the inventory items on the BOM, only to the charge items (non-inventory).
Is there a way to handle assembly items as inventory items in the sales subsidiary so that I don't have to copy the BOM and enable all of its components? In the sales subsidiary we only need a packing BOM (which crates and pallets are used), not a manufacturing BOM.
