Breakdown components cost when Assembly costing method is average
Hello Team,
I need a Customer and I would like to know if someone already had that and how this was solved.
Assembly is Lot Numbered, but the costing method is average.
After a lot of work order completion and inventory was available for sale, part of the inventory was sold. Revenue was $250 and IF posted COGS GL impact for $200.
How I can break down this COGS amount to tell how much is the cost for each specific component in this specific lot that I sold?
I know if we change the costing method to lot numbered we can see that, but for this specific account, we can't because we need to work with the WIP process and WIP requires an average costing method for the assembly.
