How to Apply a Third Party Payment to a Pledge?
Hello! I am newer user with NS (7 months). I am trying to determine if there is a way to apply a payment towards an existing pledge record, that has been paid by a third party (not the original Customer/Donor record the pledge is booked to.)
An example would be - A Wife makes a multipayment pledge commitment and we book that on her record. Her husband ends up making the first payment, so while the payment should be recorded to his record, we cannot apply it to the Wife's Pledge.
Another is - A husband and Wife make a multiyear pledge commitment that we book on their record. However, the payment received is from their Donor Advised Fund of which our current practice is to book Donor Advised Fund Gifts on the Sponsoring Organization's record, so cannot apply it to the original donor's pledge.
