CSV Import: How to Calculate Withholding Tax Amount from Withholding Tax Code

edited Oct 28, 2025 9:52AM in Ask A Guru 9 comments

When importing withholding tax transactions using CSV import, is it possible to retrieve the withholding tax rate from the withholding tax code and calculate the withholding tax amount?

Despite having the master data for the withholding tax code already set up, when I execute the import, the transactions are created with both the withholding tax rate and the withholding tax amount left blank.

Ideally, I would like the CSV to contain only the basis amount for expenses and the withholding tax code. (Of course, the withholding tax flag for each line is turned on.)

I believe that the withholding tax amount should be calculated by the NetSuite system. Is it possible?

Howdy, Stranger!
