Adding Simple Custom Formula Column to Report
I am trying to create a simple formula field, that multiplies two numbers (in two columns) in an inventory projection report.
Example:
We are 50% ahead this year to date in units sold.
Last year we sold 100 units in the 2nd quarter.
By this measure, we will need 150 units on hand to cover the 2nd quarter.
Basically, I simply need to multiply one number (Units sold 2Q LY) by the growth rate (1.50). I have a column populated with '50%' and a column populated with "Units sold 2Q Last year".
As simply as this sounds, I have toiled with this for weeks. I am aware that I can download the report and do this manually, but I really need to set this so that it updates live with each day for employees.
