Run Reconciliation Rules not creating transactions.

When in match bank data I have over 4,000 transactions from American Express to create. I added the charge and matched the transaction and an auto create rule was created. Next I am pressing the run reconciliation rules and nothing happens. I feel like I am missing a very simple step in this process.
