AE:Formula to extract substring to first blank space
Hi There
I have the following field (purchase order lookup ) which I am trying to extract a substring from with a saved search formula:
I want this substring to extract everything until the first blank space i.e. exclude the word 'regards' and only extract '13448/93458'
On the record itself this is what the contents of the field looks like
This is the formula used:
REGEXP_REPLACE(SUBSTR({custevent_po_lookup},1,INSTR({custevent_po_lookup},' ',1,1)),' ',' ')
Why is this extracting the word 'Regards'?
I have another example where the same formula is extracting only to the first <space> and nothing beyond:
