Using Header Tax field for Flat Rate Tax

edited Aug 12, 2025 11:53PM in Ask A Guru 4 comments

We utilize both Shopify and Amazon for sales where tax is calculated by both partners. As such, our sales order tax is a sum and not calculated in NetSuite. We were hoping to map the tax to the header field rather than to the line… however it does not appear to be possible. This is possible with the discount and shipping fields, was hoping the same for tax.

One of our primary reasons is that we want to take advantage of the column field 'Discount Amount' which evenly allocates line and header discounts… however, when there is a tax line (non-inv item) the Discount Amount is also distributed here, creating an inaccurate metric.
