Currency Exchange Rate History in Saved Searches and Workbooks

We require Currency Exchange Rate History to be available in Saved Searches and Workbooks so it can be joined with transaction data for advanced analytical purposes. Our requirement is to analyze date-wise historical exchange rates, independent of transaction-level FX values.

However, during analysis, we identified the following NetSuite limitation:

  • NetSuite does not expose the raw historical Exchange Rate (From/To Currency) master table in either Saved Searches or Workbooks.
  • There is no standalone Exchange Rate dataset available for reporting.
  • Exchange rates are stored internally by NetSuite and are only accessible indirectly.
  • Workbooks expose only transaction-derived FX fields, not the underlying exchange rate master data history.
