• In a cash basis system you only recognize income & expenses when cash is exchanged and the income/expense is realized. When the Cash Basis reporting preference is enabled, a credit memo will only appear when it has been refunded to the customer. As long as it's an open receivable it will not appear.
• In cash-basis, revenue is recognized when cash is received and expense is recognized when cash is paid. Based on the information you've provided I only see one cash payment of $1,000 from your customer. Credit memos are not cash flows. Our system is recognizing your cash-basis transactions correctly based on the…
• Wouldn't applying credits to outstanding Invoices be considered a refund using the Cash Basis method? Outstanding invoices are receivables. They are not cash-basis transactions. You never refunded cash. A better definition... cash-basis accounting does not recognize promises to pay or expectations to receive money or…
• The reports are working as designed. The credit memos are listed separately on the report because they are separate transactions (post separately to the G/L). Please enter an enhancement and product management will consisder it for a future release. Thanks!
• Miguel, We've looked closely at the issues you list in your post. Most of them have been resolved and released. The open issues remaining are awaiting your reply as we've been unable to reproduce what you are experiencing. We're interested in investingating and resolving possible issues in your account and ask that you…
• You can't list credit memo amounts in a separate column right now. Attached is an example of an invoice with a discount (discount posts to an expense account) and the credit memo associated with it. The example is based on the following two transactions: Invoice: Cr. Income = $40, Dr. Expense = $4 (discount item) Credit…
• Hi Miguel, All but two of the issues you mention (119087 & 119088) have been addressed. Not all fixes have been released yet. I apologize for the inconvenience these issues have caused. All scheduled reports are run based on the Pacific time zone. We are investigating the addition of a Time setting to schedules but do not…
• There are two enhancements you can track. #118761 & #85763. One covers the ability to change what the standard report label links to. The second covers the need for user-defined drill downs which would allow you to customize the standard report to drill down to a customized report you've saved.
• An Event search has an "Attendee" field available. You can filter by the name of the event and list the attendees in the results. You can additionally filter and/or display the attendee's response if needed.
• You can run the Purchases by Vendor reports. Let me know if I misunderstood your question.
• We have an enhancement tracking this request, #117155. I see that your case was not attached to the enhancement request when you called so I created a case for you. Case #517258.
• Were the individual contacts added to the event or just the prospect company? June
• When you want to view the ID and name of a customer, use the "Name" field in your search. I haven't noticed any inconsistencies in how searches display this information so I'm very interested in which searches you've been running. June
• Have just one column for Amount and select "Month" or "Perioed" in the Column dropdown in the footer of the Income Statement. It sounds like you were trying to use the Alternate Date Range field for each of the 12 columns you added. We're in the process of adding a "Custom" option to the list of available date ranges -…
• NetSuite reports don't currently have printing options. Not all printers support the same settings. Have you reviewed the printing options specific to your printer? Usually printer drivers will offer scaling, margins, page orientation, printing two sides, etc. You also have the option of exporting to Microsoft Word,…
• Yes. The form must be signed by an administrator of your account.
• We ask that you file a case with Support. The Support Representative handling your case will provide a fax number. This way they can track the signed form more closely. Support will scan the form and attach it to your customer record as well as send you a copy with NetSuite signatures.
• NetSuite complies with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and has been audited as such. This means we follow PCI security standards regarding data encryption and security surrounding Cardholder data. http://usa.visa.com/download/merchants/cisp_list_of_cisp_compliant_service_providers.pdf Signing the…
• The change was made regarding your ability to assign the View Unencrypted Credit Card Numbers permission to roles in your account. No changes were made to how the credit card numbers appear outside of this permission. If your process involves a third party processor then please file a case with NetSuite Customer Support. A…
• Yes. NetSuite, in compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS), added stronger security parameters around accessing unmasked credit card numbers in the application. This was implemented to assist you in further protecting your customers from fraud and various other security issues. The basics:…
• Enhancement 128403 has been implemented. NetSuite now supports this request in our latest release, 2007.0. Add a "+" to the end of the global search text to include inactive records. This will temporarily override the preference that controls the default behavior.
• I'll grab your case and post the enhancement number here so others can vote on it. I apologize for the inconvenience. Update: Enhancement #128403.
• How would you feel about the option of including inactive records in a global search only when you specifically request it? Are you familiar with global search prefixes? For example, if you need to search for customers with "Smith" in the name and you want to include inactives you could enter cus:smith+ Another option you…
• Using a 'prefix' to include inactives is not currently supported. We do, however, support a number of other prefixes right now. I can't provide an estimate for release of this new option yet but I'll investigate. Will you please file an enhancement? You'll be able to track it's progress easily this way. Another…
• Miguel, Will you post your use case? Why do you need to include inactives in your quick search results but not in your global search results? NetSuite expects use of this feature to be consistent so this is why the preference is combined.
• We do not have plans to split the preference but you can create a custom search form and publish it to a portlet on the Dashboard (Home tab).

Click "Customize this Page" on the Home tab
On the…
• Miguel, There is a new user preference for including inactive records in your global and quick searches. It is a combined preference so both the quick and global searches will work consistently. Both searches will ignore inactive records by default.
• Hi Jim, I'll reword the description in the sneak peek a bit so it's more clear. The enhancement was to columns added to standard reports and to reports you create from scratch using the "New Report" link. Prior to 2007.0 these columns and new reports did not support drill downs. For example, if you added a column to the…
• Join cases to notes by joining SUPPORT_INCIDENTS.CASE_ID and NOTES_SYSTEM.EVENT_ID fields. You can also join to NOTES_USER.EVENT_ID. Yes, ENTITY_ID can be used to link to COMPANY_ID.
