Craig, Enhancement 93269 covers problems with being able to process refunds all the way through PayPal via Netsuite. And, I would argue it should not be an enhancement, but an issue because by advertising support for PayPal, it implies all PayPal functionality should be available.
-
We have just encountered this problem as well, and want to know if there has been any action on this in the last 6 months? Is there an existing issue covering this, etc.? Thanks,
-
Thomas, I guess you are the lucky one. It still doesn't work automatically for us, and we had to perform the actual refund by communicating directly with PayPal. And, since Netsuite still has an open issue (Enhancement 93269), Netsuite doesn't seem to think it works either. Also, can someone tell me why this is classed as…

One item to keep in mind is that Groups cannot be used in the store.
-
I second Angela's proposal that this is not an enhancement, but it is a broken function that needs to be addressed as an issue. It seems that if something is not within a narrow focus of functionality, Netsuite tends to refer to it as an enhancement; whereas many of these items actually involve logical extensions of the…

I am almost positive I had situations where I had more than 2 contacts to upload and I was able to do it by putting 1 in as the Primary and the others as alternates. I think Netsuite assigned "Alternate Contact" as the role for the first and no role for the others. This would all be helped if you could have multiple…
-
Sig, I went through this a couple of months ago. What you do is upload the Contacts first. Then when you load the companies, you include the names of the contacts in the Company record and they get matched by the contact's name (and email, I think). Also, I would recommend using Netsuite's templates for uploading.

We just went round and round on the same issue for almost a month. We were most concerned because of our responsibility to cover the use/sales tax for items we use after removing them from inventory. We also set up our departments as customers, and sold the goods to ourselves at cost. But as you know, this then hits your…

We talked about doing that. The problem was that our CFO didn't want to have to explain all those $0 transactions in the general ledger to the auditors.

This sounds like something that happened to us a couple of weeks ago. In Partner Center, when I opended the form to enter a new lead/customer, the section for entering contacts was missing. When I looked at the form itself, the section was there. But, it wasn't there when the file was opened.
-
Steve, If I understand your request correctly, all they need to have is "edit" access to the Customer List, and they should be able to do what you want them to.
-
Ray, Based on your response, I have to say that standard Partner Center is virtually worthless. A partner is, almost by definition, an extension of your sales force, and if they can't enter orders for their customers, why have the center?
-
For what it's worth, we thought we had all of the information we needed for CC processing, but it still took us almost 4 weeks to get it working correctly. So, All I can say is stick with it and be patient.
-
In our case, we had been doing development, and we discovered we had been in Test mode with the credit card processor. As soon as we got out of test mode, we were actually able to pass a transaction all the way through the system, using test credit card numbers provided by the processing agency.

The following text is from the Netsuite Help screen entitled "Setting Checkout Preferences:" [INDENT]Check the Create Customers as Companies box to have all customers who register in your site created as Company type. Clear this box to have all customers created as Individuals. Customers created as individuals can also be…

Ed, Thanks for that information. You may the solution right by having the access be at the contact level. I will test that and see if it works for us.
-
The downside to putting them into individual folders or such is that then you need to to make them searchable so that you can search across all of the folders. You might be better to try to set some sort of naming convention system that would allow you to group your search by type, subject, etc. using the name. Just a…

Matt, How many hours did it take?
-
Oh well. It didn't work for me. I have been trying for the last week with no success. Now we are also having trouble downloading some of the files (between 2-3 meg) that we were able to upload.
-
Matt, After going around on this issue with our account rep and with tech support, we've discovered that the problem is actually not the storage allocation, but that Netsuite has problems handling uploads bigger than 50MB. We were asked to segment our upload into 2-3 segments, but we're unable to do that because our file…
-
Matt, We had exactly the same problem about 3 weeks ago. If you look at your Netsuite agreement, you'll probably discover that you were initially allocated only 100mb of file storage. The problem is when you try to upload a file larger than that is there is no error message telling you what happened; it just looks like it…

Because yesterday, when I looked at the bottom of my Netsuite Home screen, it said "version 11.0.6."
-
Why not just enter the prefix of "Mr. & Mrs."?
-
Beacuse that would have been far too easy! :D

We have a similar issue and so this post is very timely for us. In our case, we are re-selling 3rd party hardware (serialized) with our software pre-installed on it. We are also selling support for the software and limited support for the hardware. If a customer buys boxes at different times during the year, and has…

Walter, All entities are customers, other than partners and competitors. What determines if they are leads, prospects or customers is their status. I recently loaded ovewr 8000 using CSV, and thgeir default status going in to the system was "New Lead." It may be a little different for XML data, but I doubt it's much…

We are using full Netsuite, so that doesn't appear to make a bit of difference.

I may be mis-reading much of the earlier discussion, but we haven't had the problems described above with the Partner Center role (others yes, but not these). First we were able to modify the basic Partner Center role and we were able to save those changes successfully. And, we were then able to assign the customized…

I am a Bay Area user, and I would definitely be interested in being part of a local SIG. As for a broader user conference, I am not sure why you have to be big in order to have a user conference. It would service as a GREAT marketing opportunity for Netsuite to improve its relations with its customers, as well as engender…

That's what we did. By doing that, we kept the original un-customized roles to use later in deriving new roles, and to know the permissions originally associated with a role. We have also found it useful in creating hybrid roles. These are useful since we are a very small company, and people wear several hats.
