yikes - is there any way for a non-tech user (me) to do what is necessary to get bulk emails to yahoo email users? Seriously. This is ridiculous. Our work-arounds for this are killing us.

In my opinion, no; however, it would depend on the type of information being passed between you and your client. My recommendation is to contact your client's "HIPAA Compliance Officer" (every Covered Entity has to have one) to confirm that you're in the clear. There's a 99.9% chance you will be. Good luck.
