You should be able to add a custom field to the sales order record (a checkbox), include the record in your search results, and then turn on inline editing when you view the search so that you can check the box as you go.

Another option #3 here.
-
Weird - ours doesn't do this. Maybe because we don't print the tax code anywhere on the invoice, even in the columns?
-
If you're ever going to need multiple invoices for a single sale (payment terms), I suggest always using the sales order function. When we first migrated to NS, we weren't entering SO's for anything that was billed immediately. If something had billing milestones or extended payment terms (for example, pay $X now and $X in…

I can't help you with the reports (we simply do not use them), but the taxable column does not show up on our invoices, so we must've customized it. Instead, our invoices print the tax rate, so tax exempt customers all reflect 0%.

1a. How many levels deep of parent/child customers do you use? We use one parent/child level (children do not have other children). 1b. Do you create invoices for mid-level parents & the top level parent, or always to the lowest level sub-customers? It would be helpful to better understand real world business cases for how…

Thanks... but, no, we don't use that feature. And it doesn't look like we will be turning it on based on the current feedback.
-
We get around this by setting up a different vendor for each different remittance address.
-
Hello Carrie, Actually, the Bank Account field for writing checks (Transactions > Bank > Write Checks) and Pay Bills or Pay Single Vendor (Transactions > Purchases/Vendors > Pay Bills or Pay Single Vendor) is a sticky field. Meaning, the last bank account you have selected will be your default bank account the next time…

We ran into something similar with Texas sales tax and we were not able to find a way around it in NS. We ended up purchasing AVATAX from Avalara (a NS bundle), which has solved the problem.
-
Under the results tab, choose "Applied To Transaction Fields..." (you'll have to scan way to the bottom of the list). From there, choose number.
-
We don't use item receipts (we also don't work with inventory). So in a case where we would just want to partially bill a purchase order, we just click "bill", then change the quantity before saving. This leaves the PO partially open.

Click on "GL impact" in the upper right hand corner and print from that screen, or export and print.
-
For multiple page journal entries, click "GL impact" in the upper right hand corner of the page. That will allow you to print off the whole journal entry at once.

Another issue may be on the printer settings. If the page scaling has been set to "fit to paper" it will not line up both W2s/1099s on a page.....last year I had to go in and change the printer set up for page scaling to "none" and they printed correctly ( or almost correctly). Thank you so much to everyone that suggested…

Nevermind... I think I've found a work around.

We issue separate invoices for each installment.
-
Oneview, I wasn't able to change the owner of the credit, because the unapplied payment was just a part of a larger payment applied to the parent customer account. I ended up entering an invoice and credit memo to fix the problem. Not ideal, but it got the job done. We won't be leaving unapplied cash open in the future.…

Hi Anne, Well, right now we can't even print the 1099s, but that's a whole other issue. My intention once I can print them is to print them to a PDF and edit the spacing from there using Adobe Standard. Fortunately, we have less than 15 to print, otherwise this would be a HUGE issue. Evidently NetSuite requires us to…

Sub-vendors are not supported by Netsuite. Yep, Olivier is correct - I double checked and we just set up a brand new vendor with the new currency.
-
Do you just need to change the currency on those transactions? If that's the case, what we do is set up a sub-vendor with the new currency, and then just change the vendor name on the transactions.
-
Hi Nick, Yes, I'm referring to the Excel File > Page Setup > Headers/Footers tab. I realize I can get those rows to repeat print, but I'd rather not have the information at the top of the page while I'm trying to work with the spreadsheet.
-
I find that searches are much easier to work with than reports. Could you just use a Transaction search, and add the Payment Method as a field on the Results tab?
-
We always have journals showing up in our AR aging as well, so we ended up customizing the aging to leave out any journal entries. Under filters, add "Transaction Type" from "Unpaid Receivables Transactions", then set it "not equal to" "journal".
-
I'll be interested to see what responses you get because I'm constantly changing my preferences back and forth, as well.
-
BTW, we are not using the commission module but we are interested in trying it. In some of the docs it looks like it might allow you to pay sales reps based on GM. Can anyone here shed some light on this topic for us? We have the commission module, but do not use it because it does not allow us to pay sales reps based on…

Perfect! THANK YOU!!!

I think I accidentally found a solution that will work for now... by adding the Open Sales Orders : Income Account : Name field as a column, tax gets separated into it's own line. Then under Filters, I added the Open Sales Orders : Item field, and set it "not equal to" our sales tax code that we use on everything. Not…

Shaun, With searches, the function is under the "email" tab (and then "Customize Message" tab and "Send as Microsoft Excel".)

Defect 163333 - prioritized as a S3 It's unfortunate, because I was very excited about this enhancement. :(
