I know it's not the ideal solution but I recently tried using mailchimp instead of netsuite. Had a lower bounce rate and lots more data to sift through.
-
Thanks for the info! I did get some of what I needed to do, done, but still have a way to go.
-
I don't think it will be as easy as embedding the html code. It's not going to be cheap but it seems there are a few companies integrating external carts with Netsuite. We found at least one promising lead and just weighing all the options available.

I'm having a similar issue. I was just checking through my google analytic stats and noticing something very odd. Some of my top visited pages are from URL's that I cannot edit. How am I suppose to add the canonical tags if those pages are not editable? Do I place the tag in the main source and hope for the best? Here is…

I was an affiliate marketer for about 10 years, still dabble in it some. We do have an affiliate program at Shareasale. I would recommend starting off small, going with Shareasale and/or Avantlink. You can spend about $700 or so starting at Shareasale and $1000 at Avantlink. You might consider outsourcing management of…

We ran into the same situation, needing a separate with no connections to the current site. We ended up using magento and farapp.com to create a new site off netsuite. Farapp.com created the connectors. Plus it was a test to see how a third party ecommerce package would work with Netsuite. The new site did integrate fairly…

Advantage of corecommerce is you would get technical support without having to shell out $11,000 for the magento enterprise edition. I think any cart with a decent api can be "connected" to Netsuite.
-
More of an fyi, you may already know this, but you can buy the actual script that runs corecommerce accounts from digishop for $800.

I started evaluating 3dcart for a new project (not using Netsuite). I like what I see so far and even had a few good phone calls and chat sessions with tech support. What I like most about 3dcart is they allow api access for any account. Every other store with api access only allows you to access the api with the higher…

The orders would still be in the cart at your external cart. I'm pretty sure this is never real time, there is a delay. Cart captures the order, 3rd party integrated script grabs that order via api and pushes it into netsuite. I could be wrong but I think I was told that this could never be done in real time that there…

I agree with Baruch about the lack of Magento support if you do not purchase the paid edition. I'm not a programmer and if anything happens to our magento site, it's hard to get things fixed, though our host does a pretty good job helping us out. I've been exploring some other shopping carts and there are a few that have…

Where do I find the starting <body> tag? I've looked at our templates and themes setup and cannot find it. Thanks!
-
No, we do not use google checkout. Netsuite seemed to solve our problem with a workaround as they considered it a "defect"
-
Just ship to US customers. Netsuite is actively pursuing a solution. Never seemed to have this issue until over the weekend. Funny thing is, that it happens with my personal test account but we are receiving similar orders without any issues.
-
What about online forms. Do those "connect to" or "push into" NetSuite in real time? We have a "contact support" form online that creates a support case in NetSuite. Also, does it give customers access to their NetSuite customer center data like order history and such? The site I mentioned is as totally separate business…

If you move to Magento for your webstore, check out farapp.com. Steve at farapp set up a Magento connector to Netsuite for us. While Magento is not perfect, it is better at what it is suppose to do than Netsuite, ecommerce. Plus there are a ton of plugins available. One problem with Magento, if you use the free version,…

I know these guys pay to play but there is a short list of hosting providers here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/partners/find/hosting-partners/ One thing I like about our host (Nexcess) is they seem to know magento and I've had a few upgrade issues and they were able to straighten out the issues each time. It's still a…

Blitzsport pretty much summed up what I would say about Magento/Netsuite. If you have the time and can mess around with Magento, you could get a new site up and running before making the switch. You can buy decent templates for less that $200 and those templates are usually easy enough to edit if you know html. I paid $69…

I'm not sure I'd install magento on a host like bluehost. Bluehost is fine for blogs and low traffic sites, but I would not trust them for ecommerce applications. I used them in the past and had a few downtime issues.
-
My maganto cart resides on a shared environment and to day no issues. I chose this company, http://www.nexcess.net/magento/ to host the site since they had platinum status at the Magento site. I will say that the guys at Nexcess seem to be very knowledgeable when it comes to Magento and have even done upgrades to the…

I've tested dozens of lightboxes. There are some good free ones but I only use floatbox now. Find it at http://randomous.com/floatbox/home. It's not free, cost $20 per domain. I found it super easy to configure and it works with ajax, video, images, plain html and more. Plus I have emailed the developer numerous times for…

Thanks for the link. Only thing about javascript parsing, it's not seo friendly. But it maybe my only alternative at the moment.
-
I'm looking to parse RSS feeds on our homepage. I have a php script but it's not working on our NS site (I can get it to work on other non NS hosted sites). Anyone have a solution they care to share?
-
One downside to Web Gains, they are relatively new to the US affiliate market.

I did not get all the specifics, but one of our call center reps just called me, letting me know a customer placed an order over the phone instead of online because "windows" indicated it was not secure. The only tidbit of info I was able to get, the user recently upgraded to windows 7. Anyone else hear of any windows 7…

More of an FYI as I did not get specific information from a user of our site but they attached the following message to an email: For info: While navigating through you web site I constantly get security warnings that some of the info on a page is not secure.
-
Did you ever make a decision on what network to use? I just talked with Avantlink and I was wondering if they were able to track sales using Netsuite's ecommerce set up. CJ is huge but you have to watch out for the dishonest toolbar/cookie stuffing affiliates.
-
I believe with Shareasale, you usually just need to post one piece of javascript code in the shopping cart code.
-
Thanks for your reply. I've been in affiliate marketing for many years. Shareasale is a good start and you're right about some shady practices. If you can afford it, I recommend seeking out a professional affiliate manager on a contract basis. Feel free to PM me any questions. I talked with Avantlink and they are by far…

I was in affiliate marketing for about 10 years, still dabble in it a little. It's definitely alive and kicking. But it does take time to get a program off the ground, about 90-180 days. You really need to dedicate time to grow your program. You will find a small number of affiliates will do well in your program and the…
