What do you want to update? if fields are to be updated we can use mass update feature to update items. customfields...not on the item record itself but on their child/subrecords called inventorynumber. Since we cannot get access to the form I would reckon this is a limitation at the moment.

Hi, What if you customize the standard case form and assign the new customized form to your employee center role? While customizing the form you can show and hide certain fields. That way they will have the custom form as their "preferred form" (if set as preffered for the specific role). hope this helps

The reason I ask is because we cannot setup an SMTP as the client uses office365.
