Any more info on this? I'm just getting started on implementing our system and any news on this would be great! I'm flexible because our system isn't in place yet but were moving fast. NS people can you give everyone a progress update? Evolution, You may not want to wait, or count on NetSuite making any major changes until…

That is definitely doable in our upcoming release (due starting in June. Evan, you have recently made numerous comments about new or updated features planned for the 2007.0 release. Would you please post a thread in the Announcements section that provides a comprehensive list of these new/updated features? We are…

We are not quite ready to publish that information yet, it needs to be accurate or people will be misled. We should have sneak peeks in the next month or so however. I appreciate that point. At the same time, you have been indirectly publishing some features one at a time. Perhaps a compromise would be to either: [LIST]…

Is there a way to override the calculated commission? This is important to us because the commission module in NS is unable to calculate commissions the way we need to. We urgently need this capability as well, for the same general reason (but unrelated to gross profit).
-
The correct transaction flow is that you are supposed to maintain a one-to-one correspondence between the PO that your customer issues to you, and the SO that you key into NS. Nick, that may be "correct" for you, but not for everyone. We receive several individual orders during a month from a client that may or may not be…

This has become more critical for us. It is urgently needed. Any chance of this being part of the 2007.0 release in June? Best Regards, JMU

Actually, this ER reads differently. From the NetSuite Support Center: 41956 Fulfill Sales Order> consolidate fulfillment across multiple sales orders to one fulfillment What we need is for the Invoice to be able to bill for multiple fulfillments. A typical scenario for us is the following: [LIST=1] [*]We receive multiple…

Want to be able to take this single order and break out into two invoices: one for the items and one for the service. Steve, This should be easy to do by simply using two DIFFERENT fulfillments: [LIST=1] [*]Fulfill the SO once, and check ONLY the Non-Service Items on the fulfillment, and Save[LIST] [*]You should be able to…

<snip>Has anyone done a similar progress billing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.</snip> Carrie Carrie, The only thing I can think of is to create custom fields on the customer and/or project records, and on the Invoice record, to record the data you want on the invoice. When you create the Invoice you could use…

I understand that this is actively being addressed on Enhancement Request # 113135 Martin, Thanks for the reply. However, this should not be treated as an enhancement request. This should be classified as a major bug with S1 - Blocking priority. I hope you realize that this puts all NetSuite customers, and NetSuite, at…

If you always want to track non-taxable sales items by the tax locality they would be in if they were taxable, set all your customers as taxable in the customer record and you should never have to set this on a per-transaction basis, it will just depend on the taxable status of the items you sell. Malin, Sorry, but this is…

Attention Everyone: If you are relying on the NetSuite Sales Tax Liability by Tax Agency report to prepare your Sales Tax filings, you may be in non-compliance and subject to penalties!!! The "Total Sales" of this report DOES NOT include sales to non-taxable companies. All of the taxing authorities I know of require you to…

I hate to bring this thread up again, but does anybody know of a temporary workaround to disable the dangerous Email button for Statements? We had one of those get accidentally sent out yesterday. I applied the temporary workaround script to disable the Email button on Sales Orders and Purchase Orders, but cannot figure…

Here is a thought for eliminating the yellow email button in view mode Matt, Great idea! Only it's not working for me. Does this actually work for you? Best Regards, JMU
-
Steve, The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the ID of the E-Mail button is the same on Quote forms. Display the Quote form in VIEW mode, and click on "View Source" from your browser's menu. Then do a FIND for 'emailbutton' If you can't find this, then that is your problem. You will need to review the HTML code to…
-
We are exploring two options 1) Allow you to remove the "yellow" button completely 2) Allow you to make the yellow button operate like the gray e-mail button on the messages tab (and the e-mail icon on the new bar). Many customers use and like the "dangerous" e-mail button, so we can't remove/redefine it unilaterally. We…

Matt, I a way to buried at the moment to test this, but I will be testing (and hopefully using) this next week. If it works for me, let me know if you ever come to Oregon, I'll take you fishing. :D If you ever need a bit of direction with anything accounting in NS, let me know. You, my friend, ROCK. Angela, I've already…

In 2007.1 this fall there will be a global preference to have both e-mail buttons work the same (they will work like the one on the messages tab). Thanks, -e Thanks for keeping us informed Evan, and thanks for this solution.
-
At the risk of you only hearing from people who want a change, let me just voice the opinion that you should NOT change or get rid of the "Save & Email" option. It works fine, and conveniently combines two steps into one. To select it, you need to specifically click on the drop down from the simple save, and the only way…

It's been 3 months, and still NetSuite has not taken any action on this issue. The difference in the response to clicking the various "E-mail" buttons is very confusing to most users. This results in errouous emails being sent to our clients, making us look incompetent. Come on NetSuite, at least add a confirmation dialog…
-
But my experience is the more you move away from the core product, the higher the cost to maintain and the more opportunities to break something. Well said Steve. I couldn't agree more.
-
Spoke too soon! :o The trick is to place the Inline HTML field AFTER the EMAIL appears. I acheived this by placing it on the "Items" tab. Cool!!! :D Thank you Matt!!! Best Regards, JMU
-
Come on NetSuite, please take some action on this request. There are TWO other ways to send a transaction by email: (1) the Create New bar; and (2) from the Messages tab. At the very minimum, at least allow the Admin to configure whether or not this dangerous button is displayed. Best Regards, JMU

In the 2+ years that we have used NS, we haven't had a single accidentally emailed invoice. I guess we are a little more cautious with our clicks. In a high volume environment when the billing clerks are under pressure to enter all invoices before close of month, it is very easy to accidently click the wrong button.…
-
I think that the best solution would be for the EMAIL and FAX buttons to work the same way as when you want to send an email or fax through the messages tab. They should become a shortcut to those functions, I think that would be an easy fix that will accomodate both users that use and don't use those buttons. I completely…
-
We actually left the buttons there deliberately when we added the Messages advanced functionality in v11, so that there was still the old easy one-click method of sending transactions, if you don't need to change the subject, copy others, add an e-mail template, etc. If this bothers a lot of users, we could change it.…

THanks Ray. So how do you achieve the "50%", by changing qty or extended amt?
-
I just did it (for another thread actually). Advanced shipping needs to be switched on since the invoice has to be separate from the fulfilment in terms of % (for progress) or qtys. Ray, Can you please provide detailed steps you used to accomplish this? Thanks.
-
The payment is not split ???. - that would be a real pain. the invoice is. I don't understand your statement/question. To do automatically only can do it via progress invoicing. If you can do that - that is. I don't think progress inovicing would work because: [LIST=1] [*]It won't show the total delivered [*]It won't allow…
-
Many ways. Ray, could you please expand on the other ways. We have this exact need that arises frequently, and are looking for a good solution to it. Thanks, Jim
