Depends on your version of "easier". We needed at least a case quantity in primary bin for most items. A custom field on the item record for Preferred Bin Quantity and we got a daily report of items where a full case needed to be moved. And yes, they did a bin transfer. No need for a TO which needs to be fulfilled and then…

Mike, We are using NS as you are. We have 2 buildings. One for normal pick and one for overstock. We typically use Bin assigned numerically as building 1 which is preferred and replenish from building 2 using a Bin Transfer. There are times when we have items that are small but a customer orders many or a case so as not to…
-
It saved us a couple of things. 1) I don't need to do an inventory transfer to a separate location 2) I can do the fulfillment from either the preferred bin or from the storage bin. When you have the inventory in a seperate location, you would either need to move the inventory or do a separate fulfillment from that…

It is actually a penalty on top of the actual charges. If we calculate and charge a customer $10 for FedEx Ground but it is really going to a residence, FedEx actually charges us $13 for that package under shipping and then for the same order# I get a penalty/fee of $5.

Being more familiar in a past life with MS SQL Server I knew they had a TOP(n) function so I did some searches the week after the conference and found this page from 2005 referencing Oracle's ability. I am just trying (hoping) to see if it translates into NetSuite. If it does it would be very powerful for us here:…

I have the sort part I just can't figure out how to do something like only show first 10. My assumption was I Medes a column representing rank and then use that on criteria.
-
Moving this over to reporting...
-
Rod, Thanks for the help. I will work with our people to change their process.

Unfortunately we fulfill over 300 orders a day through our warehouse and we cannot keep flipping the setting all day long. Since the customer record has settings for how they want communication one would think those settings would actually do something. We will be turning that setting off permanently and writing our own…

When you select the criteria for the search field Type, do you have an entry displayed that shows Kits? My guess is that your Saved Search is based upon transactions? To get the costs the search would be an Item Search and then the types will include Kits and Assemblies. Sorry for not being clearer before. Will you be at…
-
True. We no longer allow kits within kits because the picklist is unreadable at best and we had more problems than the savings of multiple tiered kit levels. I am researching that solution posted above though...
-
I just created a saved search Criteria: Type=Kit/Package, Assemblt/Bill of Materials inactive=false Results: KWItem (Custom) Name Display Name Type Item Type Member Item : KWItem (Custom) Member Item Member Item : Description Member Quantity Member Item : Purchase Price Formula (Numeric) {memberquantity}*{memberitem.cost}…

I have had the same question where I have a single customer who does not want the emails but I want to send to all other customers. Is it possible to stop just for the customer who requested it?
-
You may want to chat with the folks at Oz Development. Their OZLink product will allow you to do this.
-
We just have Steve post the Amazon customer email to our own custom field so we can reference it later. When he imports orders for us, he just leaves the NetSuite email address field empty and populates ours.
-
Brett, As far as we have learned that check box has no effect on fulfillment emails.
-
Just a suggestion but you might be better off not using bins. We used to use it and it screwed all our stock levels up. We are in the initial set up stages for a new installation. Our number 1 requirement is a real time accurate inventory. We have approximately 3,000 stocked SKU's in a warehouse with 384 locations. A…
-
Thank you all for the responses. Because we are not live and have not done an initial inventory we should be able to mimic each of the suggestions here. My #1 goal is to get a real time accurate inventory but my mission is also to NOT make life very difficult for my warehouse folks. We should have items migrated into…

Actually, I believe if you edit the SO and save, it treats it like no pick ticket has been printed.
-
I found this here MANY years ago for the same reason. Assuming you have the default : as the separator. Use the Formula(Text) NVL(regexp_replace(regexp_substr({name},':[^:]+*$'),': ' ,''),{name})

Just as an FYI, NetSuite does offer customers a Solution Provider license at 1/2 off their currently discounted rate.

I have had a user who normally printed with Firefox which loaded the PDFs directly into Adobe. One day decided to switch to Chrome and the Acrobat Plug in shrunk the output by about 10%. She said "she didn't change anything" but failed to tell us she used a different browser. Wasted 2 days tying to hunt down the issue.

I think because it is listed as Beta the other functionality will be coming later. I was hoping the report Column totaling would have included them as that is where I needed the custom segments.

I've been to all 3 so far and am signed up for this year. Breakout groups for me are whatever the crisis of the moment is. I plan on having a nice chat with folks regarding our experiences with the Retail Anywhere POS product. Other than that I use the lunch break time to network with other small to medium businesses to…

cwhelliston, I assume you know Charlene from ShingleEater.com? She is our ringleader. Got a bunch of Small to Medium business folks hooked up at the first and we get together every year. Great time!

you should be able to force it to recalc the values. Setup -> Accounting -> Inventory Management Preferences Leave your current setting and instead of hitting the Save button, change to "Submit & Calculate". Overnight it will force the system to perform your normal weekly calculations. One other possibility... Did you also…

Might not fit in my iPad case... Last year I handed out: https://system.netsuite.com/core/media/media.nl?id=15337amp;c=1172803&h=7a4d857d652915ea7c4e
