agreed we would benefit from a change like this.
-
Ouch, this was something I had always seen as something useful. Now I guess it's not. I can only hope you can get around it in some way. I have experienced several 'small' things like this that can really frustrate..
-
Thanks Nick! That shows me what I'm after, clunky & cannot "save the search" but it's better than nothing :) .
-
So a simple(?) need but a "code" solution  . Is there an ER to vote for? We would use this kind of email search alert for a number of things if it was possible.
-
OK, I try 1 criteria on my search "Line System Notes: Type - is Change" it still returns all types.... I expected just changed?
-
Thanks - will do.

Allow Administrators to view all private records
I cannot believe more companies do not kick up more of a fuss about this lack of admin rights, it makes admin harder than it needs to be IMHO
-
Enhancements to vote for: 79056 Administration Add ability for the admin role to see all of saved searches created by other users; even if they are private. (should be edit/full rights) 122116 CRM/SFA Provide the Ability for the Administrator to view all Private Tasks.

I got it! When I was on the customise view I had to select "List" as well as "Sublist" for it to appear in the search screen, so now it does which is good, happy. Still have a problem with this though, I go to the role, hoping to restrict to Messages to this sublist. Option not available. So leaves the chance for my users…
-
OK - So I am looking to do this also but; I cannot create a "Messages" search, except by the method you outline, but then how can I then define which roles get which "message search"? Is there a reason why this is handled in such an odd way? I am again astounded at how creative NetSuite is at doing things from one day to…
-
Already I have expressed my frustration about this, but again today I am just trying to do my job and this "Problem/Enhancement/Issue" just stops me in my tracks. Please fast track this, you give admin headaches a new meaning with your funky approach! As with some other areas you put the user ABOVE the admin, whats with…

My user ask me to help them with a search they have today, I cannot even view it. Sort this out NetSuite - allow the admin to admin!
-
Admin can see everyone's activities, but not saved searches?? Everyone can see everyone activities!! Not only that but the users define calendar permissions NOT the admin!!!!! Hello training burden, Does the average user really need to go through that bit of rocket science? It's like they are asking each user to be an…
-
Is this the same for International versions? It's 2am San Mateo regardless our company time setup?
-
I also find this. I really DO NOT understand NetSuite's idea about admin permissions.
-
Matt - Thank YOU! This is bringing graphs to my employee centre users!!!
-
Is it possible to have a search output set to graph, and the run the search and display a graph? all I get is an expected error... Or is this option not meant to literally output a graph?
-
Your best bet may be custom records on the Customer records, you can then use security permissions on the custom records by role.
-
I have similar need, I have custom records on my employee's and wish to have a search which shows employee's without these records present... How? Help appreciated. EDIT: I got what I needed by getting adding a field from my custom record in an employee search then the records without showed up.
-
Thank you June!! :)
-
Thanks Srilatha, Yes that does work, we have had that setup for a while but it's very clunky (to the point of not working...), we have almost 500 employee's and as you cannot have a footer filter in published searches (!) it means my users need to perform many clicks to get the information, which can at times even be on 2…
-
I think I am still missing something here; Will this show activities which other users have set for me? The only criteria I see as available is "created by" I do not see "assigned to" (for activity search). :( Whoa - so I just checked (got another user to assign me a task) now that task is appearing in that activity search…
-
You can't get it in the footer. However, if you set the criteria to My Team or Mine, it will automatically adjust to each user. To toggle this create views for Mine and My Team. Mark Fantastic Mark! Thanks! works a treat. Golly, Netsuite can be fickle.
-
Thank Mark, I'm after Activity Search (all types) with a footer "Assigned to" the ability to view "mine" "my team" or "all" but when I go to customise a new Activity Search I don't see assigned to as an available footer filter - :o Appreciate your comments :)
-
I think they are referring to published searches here as drill down fields are applicable only to published searches. True, oh well! I am off to create more published searches :) which have no footer filters :(
-
Please, any suggestions? This is a real need, surely it is possible, please.
