The default applies to ALL pathways. But, you can always override the default on individual transactions. So, on the web services imported SO's, you need to populate the CC Processor field with the correct processor you want. BTW, smbXML (and probably web services) doesn't observe UI defaults anyways, so you would have to…

Ben, first, if the CVV fails, the issuer will decline the auth. So, the only case where Payflow Fraud services would do a local decline, would be an AVS mismatch. Your processor should have a capability to cancel an authorization code. You need to call them and ask them how to do it. For example on FDR Omaha platform, we…

Verisign was not the correct party to call and ask the question. Verisign is just the gateway that passess the transactions from NetSuite to your acquirer processor. You need to call your Visa/MasterCard acquirer processor. This would be the company that sends you your monthly merchant statement. For example, Nova, First…

I know Discover does have language in their contract assessing a surcharge if you fail to use CVV2, but because a lot of processors don't support CVV2 for Discover cards, Discover stopped enforcing this provision. As for Amex, actually Amex was odd ball on this fraud protection tool. Amex would actually restrict their CVV2…

John, as Ray says, you can use any merchant account provider who can accept transactions from the Verisign Payflow Pro gateway (which is any merchant account provider who can utilize one of the following front-end credit card authorization networks: First Data Nashville, First Data North/CardNet, First Data South, Global…

Yes, there are security settings in Verisign where you can configure Verisign to decline mismatched AVS responses. Poke around in the account settings in your Verisign admin panel and you will find it. You can pick the action for each of the AVS responses. A word of Note about AVS. In the Visa/MasterCard world, the issuer…

Per V/MC PCI rules (payment card security), no one is allowed to store the CSC/CVV2/CVC2 codes in a database. Therefore, NS can NOT store it. So, you have to re-key it each time. But that being said, since this is a repeat customer, you are comfortable that is it not fraudulent, so there is no need to do CSC. The CSC does…

Yes, you should turn-on Level2 support in your options. Keep in mind that some of your nonquals could be the Rewards cards (which have nothing to do with the Level2 problem)
-
There are 2 pieces to this equasion (UK spelling!!) You need the internet gateway, and then you need the Visa/MasterCard acquiring processor. If you want to use the integrated CC processing built into NS, then you are limited to using one of the three internet gateways that NS has interfaces with. You can contact those…

Ok, everyone, the new product manager Baruch has opened 2 bug tickets. Please open a ticket with online support and request that you be added to these enhancement requests and then you will get notified of their progress: Enhancement 110178: Change in functional spec: Verisign Credit Card payments - if tax value is 0, send…

Jafrum, you misunderstood all my posts. You CAN fill in the Customer Code and it DOES get passed to Verisign. You have to Enable Level 2 Processing in your Setup > Credit Card Processing and then you will see a new field "Customer Code" that appears after "Billing Zipcode" on all the credit card payment screens. There is a…

Yes. NS's logic actually only looks at the Taxable? checkbox in the header of the transaction. (And, currently this only works for Sales Order-Cash Sale, and Cash Sale transaction types). If the Taxable? box is unchecked, then it sends SalesTaxAmount=0 and TaxExempt=Y to Verisign. Yes, M/C and Amex will accept TaxExempt=Y…
-
NetSuite actually does hard-code zero in the TaxAmount to Verisign if you use Invoice & Accept Customer Payment. However, zero is not permitted by Visa, so all Visa will downgrade. Zero is permitted by M/C and Amex, as long as the TaxExempt=True is sent to Verisign, which it is if you have Taxable? NO on the NetSuite…

Visa and MasterCard PCI rules absoultely prohibit the storing of the CVV2 value in any database. So if Salesforce.com is doing that, that is a flagrant violation of PCI rules, and salesforce.com could be liable for any data breach (millions of dollars). It is okay to key it on the screen and have it exist temporarily while…

The 0.35% is the true wholesale cost difference to your acquiring bank. Most providers (and Nova) probably mark that up much higher by mapping it into their NonQual bucket with the highest discount rate (like +1.75% surcharge). Yes, Nova has their own in-house authorization network, so if Nova is your provider, you would…

I doubt NS would put that "cheating" logic into their code because they don't want to be liable to Visa. BUT, you can achieve this "cheat" yourself....just put 1 penny sales tax onto the Invoice and then NS will include your 1 penny in their message to Verisign....now you're the one "cheating", not NS.

Baruch & Brian, just like how Ray didn't know Level2 functionality was added to V.11 (and Ray is even one of your most knowledgeable consultants), I bet a lot of customers don't know either. You could run a query of all your customers with Verisign enabled, and then work with your contacts at Verisign to have Verisign give…

Brice, this problem is 2-fold: (1) Back in Oct. 2005, Visa added two new interchange categories for "rewards" cards. Those are cards where consumers can earn airline miles, rewards points, etc. As is typical, Visa screws the merchants and makes the merchants pay for these rewards. So, the keyed interchange rate is called…

Yes, v11 supports Level2 commercial card data for M/C and Amex. It is current broken for Visa, but NS is trying to install a fix for Visa hopefully by mid-Aug. You need to make sure that you populate the "Customer Code" field on the transaction with some non-blank value. Ideally, the cardholder will give you a code that…
-
Let me talk to Brian Taylor, the PM that designed this module. I think NetSuite included some logic that if Customer Code is left blank on the UI, then it takes the transaction# or the PO# and sends that to Verisign (to prevent sending blank to Verisign). If I am correct about this, then just shut it off in your webstore,…

Hey Ray.. You have to turn-on Level2 support by editing your Setup > Credit Card Processing menu and editing your gateway entries. There is a new checkbox for "Enable Level2 Support" (must be checked). And also you need to pick the correct authorization network in the drop down menu that your merchant account provider uses…

See my other posts in this category all about Level2 processing. To your question about Level2 on the webstore, there is a separate setting you have to enable to turn on the Customer Code field in your webstore checkout. The option should be called something like "Display Customer Code Field on Payment Info Page" under the…

Here are 2 vendors for zipcode databases: http://www.zipinfo.com/products/products.htm http://www.melissadata.com Did you figure-out if the API exposes the Sales Territory metadata? If not, here is a keystroke automation program that can key the stuff very fast into NetSuite UI screens for you: www.iopus.com I agree that…

With the new 2009.2, you can now include configuration & setup settings in bundles. So what you are suggesting about having a "seed" zipcode list, could be done if the first person created a bundle, then anyone could install it. NS has done a lot of these bundles and they let you install them for free or paid feature. Also…
-
The www.melissadata.com zipcode database also contains county, congressional district, and MSA for each zipcode, so it's easy to complile a list of zips in a county. The Territory Assignment function in NS uses a top down routing. So it starts at the first rule in the list and keeps going until it hits a match. If no match…
-
Nope. It's manual. But could you possibly figure-out a way to do it with zipcode ranging, rather than specific township names? With NetSuite often it is path of least resistance to change your operational workflow to match how NS does it, rather than torq NS to match how you do it.

You better watch out for violating laws about junk faxes. I think the latest state of the law is that they have to explictly agree in writing to receive faxes. Your merely having an existing business relationship with them is not sufficient anymore to avoid violating the law.

I think it's called "related_tranid". Which would contain the InternalID of the parent txn. Look in the "Transactions" table (not "Transaction Lines" table)
-
Hmm. I could be wrong. You can see in the ODBC tables, that the linkages are very granular...the links are done on each line versus the whole transactions like in a saved search. So you may have to analyze the Links table and just infer that an SO liked to an IN would have all the lines linked and they would all be linked…

I think all field value changes are logged in System Notes table.
