After a fashion, yes. Ultimately it depends on how you will be running your reporting. It is possible to tag the project on PO/Bill lines, so you can purchase inventory on behalf of a project, and then you can sell that inventory on behalf of the same project. Assuming your reporting is correctly set up to group…

Yeah, you'd have to use scripting to auto-generate (and keep up-to-date) Event records for all these dates. You'd attach a script to the desired event (Project or SO) and then upon saving, the script would generate an Event that would appear in your NS calendar. If you want this to go to another calendar (Outlook or…
-
This is not possible, sorry.
-
I *think* you should be able to tie an Inventory Adjustment to a Project, via the Customer field
-
This is purely speculation, but I think what they are doing is changing the underlying object that represents time entries in NS. The existing one is a nightmare to work with (scripting wise, not as a functionality per se). So, I suspect they are just changing the object so it is more user friendly, so they can extend to…

You can enter time in closed periods, as time itself has no financial impact. Expenses are a different matter though, yes. One option would be to date the expenses corectly, but set the Period to be the next open one. This can lead to messy accounting, but if it's well understood it can be OK.

There's no setting to accomplish this. It's a pretty common request we've been asked about several times, and so far the only solution is a bit of scripting. You add a custom field that IS filtered (you can do this on custom fields), then you put some scripting to transfer the selected value from the custom field to the…
-
Yes, that could be done
-
Myeah, can't really do that without a 3rd party app or some customization. I mean, like you say, you CAN get the info, but you've got to look at everyone's calendar. We're working on some calendar grouping customizations ourselves, since it's a common request.
-
No sorry, we don't use the SDF
-
Would this be related to the fact NetSuite has gotten rid of the .sandbox domain?
-
On the Custom Form of the record type itself. There is a section where you tick in the columns you want to output
-
Adv PDF is the solution.

Does it convert the price from Euro to GBP, or is it just the same number but with the wrong symbol displayed? Do you have the same problem if you do a Euro SO?
-
Well it's quite possible the dataset is simply too big. In that case I'd recommend chopping up the search. Add a filter to pull all Customers up to Internal Id X. In any case, you can at least add a filter in there to take out Inactive customers, it'll help at least a little. Then again, why are you building a Web Service…
-
Can't you just pull all customers actually updated since the last synch?
-
Don't know for sure, but my feeling is Restlets are classified as Suitescripts, not Suitetalk (since they use javascript rather than java/c#/etc)
-
Hi there, While we're on the east coast and not the best resource to actually enter transactions, we CAN give you some excellent training on using Netsuite correctly in regards to best processes and understanding accounting impact of your actions in NS. Anyway, if you're interested, please contact me, we'll do our best to…

Hello Meir, You can find a list of Commerce Agency Partners here: http://www.netsuite.com/portal/products/ecommerce/partners/agency.shtml These companies are partners that have gone through NetSuite rigourous SCA certification process, and continued to be monitored and framed by NetSuite standards. Do not under any…

There are many! Explore Consulting is in your neck of the woods (not sure if Bay Area, but they are west coat) and they are a Top Tier partner, but that's just one. The west coast is thick with partners, a bit of googling should get you a shortlist with a few options.
-
It does sound like an integration project. You don't want EDI for this. The architecture will depend on volume, but I can't imagine it must be huge. So RESTlet based approach would be best. However, you mayneed the ability to add code on the QAD side - is this possible? Does QAD have APIs? The whole thing could be coded…
-
What do you intend by "interface"?
-
The only things I'll say is that it is BY FAR in your best interest to ensure the partner you pick is "CAP Certified". CAP, or Commerce Agency Program, is an arduous and thorough certification program that NetSuite runs for organizations that wish to do work implementing SCA. The program trains partners and then tests them…

Regarding the latter part of your question: Good NS developers are going to be very expensive and hard to find. Not-so-good ones, maybe easier, but then you need to consider your internal capacity to train them and to absorb the damage they may cause to your ERP while they learn. Keep in mind that in trying to hire a dev,…

I highly recommend OzLink. We always use them and they are always fantastic to work with.

Technically there is no such thing per se, but you have some options for the SO: 1. Set your SO to "pending approval" when saving. This will indicate it is work in progress. Further, as long as the SO in not approved, it will not commit stock, cannot be fulfilled and wil not create any Drop Ship or special orders. 2. Use…

We have no solution pre-built for this problem, though we have worked on several other custom solutions for garment companies - and of course, we have a general proven record of scripting excellence. Would you like us to contact you or you are really just looking for existing solutions at this time?
-
You might be able to generate this within NS - NS has the ability to generate Word documents. So, assuming you have some sort of basic template, you should be able to do it from NS. Heck, if it's relatively traightforward, you can do it without any customization using the Letter Merge functionality

Hi Michael, As luck would have it, Netsuite's biggest Solution Provider, your friendly neighbourhood ERP Guru, is a Canadian company, so this is a piece of cake for us :) We'll be reaching out to you to discuss how we can help you
