Do you use multiple locations? If so, see my thread on multiple locations with non-inventory items. T
-
Why does it make the converted items use "Costing Method=LIFO"? We prefer "Costing Method =Average". The converted items have "Costing Method=LIFO" and it is grayed out so that it can't be changed. T

Is this not the same as your scenario? Read the first post. There are two issues in that post and neither one is like Defect #152060.

Has anyone else experienced this... ISSUE #1: When we convert Non-Inventory items to Inventory (using the new conversion feature in 2008.2) we get left with an item that has BOTH an expense account and a COG account. Our items that were always inventory items do NOT have BOTH a generic expense account and a COG expense…

I found the source of this bug. If you experiment with the LOCATION setting on NON-INVENTORY items ....you will find some strange behavior in netSuite. I'm NOT talking about the location setting on the inventory tab because NON-inventory items don't have an inventory tab. They do have the inventory setting on the top of…

We get errors like this every other page... Safari can’t open the page “https://system.netsuite.com/pages/customerlogin.jsp”. The error was: “Operation could not be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302.)” (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:302) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number,…

I appreciate your efforts helping us follow up on your issue, but it looks like it's a matter of misunderstanding rather than any fundamental inaccuracy in the instructions. I disagree. Nobody seemed to understand the use of the "." on the end of the domain. Moreover, the GoDaddy specific instructions were written for the…
-
I think we have the solution. GoDaddy was helpfull. The "." typo in the instructions was part of the problem, but easy enough to figure out. The NS support lady was determined that the problem was with GoDaddy IF we followed the NS instructions which she said "were absolutely correct". The origional message that prompted…
-
I'm not sure if this relates to our email problems, but this is the prompt that we received yesterday.... ...we did as the instructions instructed.
-
Disregard the previous post. Receiving the items didn't help. I also tried to use the "mark shipped" button on the drop-ship PO. It also brings up a Fulfillment without any items on it. T
-
OK, if any other GoDaddy users get hit by this... here is what worked for us. NS instructions say: Make this CNAME entry: "www" points to "@" Make this CNAME entry: "yourdomain.com." points to "shopping.netsuite.com" What you need to do is: Don't make either of the CNAME entries that they instruct you to make. Make this…

I'm told that we can fulfill some orders for non-inventory items and others we still can't. So, I'm not sure what is causing the problem on the unfulfillable orders. -Tom
-
Thanks. I'll make those changes in our GoDaddy setting. It is a refreshing to not hear "you understood the instructions wrong" or "we can't make instructions for every situation" or "we were nice enough to make instructions for another companies services, we didn't have to do it, so you should just be grateful that we…

The change in a-host that fixed our email also took our webstore off-line. NS just called. It seems that ALL of the instructions that we have received from Netsuite were wrong. The guy said that the "NS Help" instructions didn't take into consideration that any user of GoDaddy may have both their domain there and ALSO use…
-
I am trying to confirm something. The guy at GoDaddy was confused by this part of the NS GoDaddy instructions... They say to put a "." on the end of our domain name. I'll assume that that is a typo even though they show it that way TWICE.
-
I think we are discovering one of the problems. Prior to Friday's release, our system would auto-receive the POs for drop shipped orders of non-inventory items. Today it needs us to manually receive each drop-ship PO before we can fulfill the PO. We need our prior workflow back? Is there a setting to get things to behave…
-
The NS support person That I talked with said that the "." was a typo and he was consulting with another support person at the time. Who do I believe? The bigger issue effecting the email was the a-record. It should not be deleted or changed to NetSuite's IP if the host provides CNAME. If the host provides CNAME, it should…

ooop. Found another one. 3rd bug in 15 minutes and the orders are backing up. This is going to be a long day. Today we have a dashboard reminder that says "X Sales order to fulfill". Replace X with the numbers of orders to fulfill. I click the reminder and it brings up a list of zero sales orders. T
-
We also use non-integrated UPS labels for drop-shipped fulfillments. The fulfillment comes up with shipping method = UPS (non-integrated ). As soon as we change the status to anything other than picked; it checks the box for "integrated=yes". T
-
Yea, the wording makes it sounds like we are behind the scenes adjusting prices at the last minute to screw the customer. It doesn't sound like they just picked an invalid shipping method for what they have in their cart. Most customers wouldn't figure it out ..as it was. We did change the wording, but the error is still…

Well, we can't ship from either location. Is this considered "Down Time" in the NetSuite "UpTime guarantee"? I'm afraid not. We are "down" today, but since we can still log into NetSuite ....we are "up" in their books. It would be a meaningful guarantee if it included MORE than just the ability to log into our account! -Tom
-
Google "Experiences using NetSuite". These outages give me time to work on other projects. T
-
Thanks for communicating with us. We can't wait for the fix. Our orders are backing up and we have people sitting around doing NOTHING. Why all of the issues today? Was there some sort of "upgrade" last night? -Tom

Defect 147347 - Print Packing Slip produces an error and the sales order link in the Item Fulfillment Page is missing SUMMARY: Print Packing Slip produces an error and the sales order link in the Item Fulfillment Page is missing WORKAROUND: Go to Transactions > Management > Print Checks and Forms > Packing Slips and Return…

Now we can't save fulfillment records without an ERROR. I can open a Fulfillment and save it, BUT if I change the status to PACKED ....then it throws the error when i save it. Well, I guess I have time to go work on my "why I hate NetSuite" blog. -Tom Todays Issue Numbers = 742995 and 742996

We are in the same boat. We can't ship ANYTHING. We ship from TWO locations using two different printers and both locations are DOA. We get the NetSuite message.. "An unexpected error has occurred...". -Tom
-
So, we can't print integrated UPS shipping labels. In another thread, you will see that there are issues printing packing slips. We also can't SAVE item Fulfillments if the status is changed to packed. We also don't have a "created from" link on our in-house Fulfillments today. We also don't have the Drop-Ship PO number…

Justin, You could just create the sales order and NOT check the box for "get authorization" and save the sales order. Then edit it and check the "get authorization" button and save again. If it fails to authorize on the re-save, then your order data is still OK. I don't know if it is any faster, but it reserves the…
