  • There has never been a sub-customer or other parent account on this record. How does the system think that there is one? We very rarely use sub-customers. That is very unusual. Does the customer have an old credit? I am not 100% sure but I think the credit will trigger the alert too ( or did at one time). Good Luck
  • This usually happens when subcustomers are moved from a parent to another. The payment stays with the previous parent.
  • Come on guys; I strongly believe that you either have to trust your vendor or change them right away. We have all of our data in their warehouse and we have signed a non resposibility agreement if for any reason it is destroyed. I understand it is dangerous and lawyer happy world out there. But we need to draw a line…
  • Kind of... I want to know the "NetSuite Name" for all fields, not just custom ones. So I can reference them in emails and forms. The only one I currently use is I introduce all our email marketing with the personnal touch of "Dear <NLFIRSTNAME>" and I have no idea where I found that <NLFIRSTNAME> references the field…
  • Some of our fulfillment email confirmation gets bounced back. I emailed the confirmation outside of NS and it was not bounced back. What is the final word on this thread? It seems like it has been going on for a while. Thanks for your help. Here is the error report for dending confirmation to Smurata@uci.edu:…
  • Here in California, we usually wait over an hour to get live person. I guess you vcan rely on this service more than the customer support.
  • As a wholesaler and distributor who has spent countless hours to discuss the shipping problems (drop shipping, shipping carrier, or cost of shipping from vendor locations), I can comfortably tell you not to waste your time around this subject. Net Suite is not capable of handling basic shipping needs. Any additional…
  • Julian, Have you made any configuration changes? Also: Can you please attach the entire email that is getting bounced back (wrap it in a .zip file if you have to). That will help us investigate. Thanks. No I did not. I realize that the bad enmailes will bounce back which is great. but some are legitimate and still bounce…
  • We use our address but "Shipping & Receiving" on the first line in place of our company name. We do not enclose the packing list for dropship orders as a temp. fix (it has been over 15 months!!!) The UPS integration and shipping in general needs a huge overhaul to address distributors and wholesellers issues. I am not sure…
  • I have also suspected the average inventory calculation for chamges of numbers. Has anybody figured how the inventory impacts the P/L statement? Thanks
  • The P/L statement in NS is never finalized until all the drop ship P.O.'s. This might not apply to your situation. If it does, just create a saved search listing all your received P.O.s that are not billed. Thanks
  • I am interested in this question as well. We sell to schools-- so one schools may order the same products of a vendor as another school. We would like to order those items of a particular vendor (say for instance it is not in-stock, though we do carry inventory) on ONE Purchase order for these individual sales orders. So,…
  • Can you be more specific? Are you doing drop ships? Do you have inventory?
  • I called NS support and I was on hold for 65 minutes when I accidently answered a call and lost my turn. And I am having pretty bad experience with on line cases filed. They always say sorry of being late because we are unusually busy. And I get the same irrelevant answers you guys are getting. So, an alternative solution…
  • We do not bulk fulfill and hence do not have this problem. However; starting last week, Our shipping department found the following : Standard : As long as you had not print your UPS labels; and no matter how many times any one looked at the packing list using "print" and PDF format, the packing list remained in the log.…
  • You forgot one thing. And you pay for the phone charges too!!!!! I have given up calling the support despite the fact that we have prepaid for the next 2-3 years. ********* My sales rep at NetSuite always advise me to contact the support for every damn simple functionality question that a sales enginner should know about…
  • Ray lists a clear picture of what happens in our accounts too. However; I have a question about P/L statement and Dropship P.O.s COGS. Sometimes it takes around a week to get a bill from the vendor who does drop ship for us. What needs to be done for the COGS be increases when a purchase order is received instead of…
  • This was a problem in our beta test and rolled over with the upgrade. I have had a search customers with customer access. From that list I have to edit each record, click on the access tab, edit the role field changing it to the standard customer center role, save the record, edit the access again and change it back to our…
  • There is also a new surprise there (2007 version) If the customer order any item(s) in the "Re-Order Items" list (after you are upgraded to 2007), the items just purchased are shown twice in the list. I have not tried to see what happens if they order again. Is it going to add another copy of the item to the list? Let me…
  • If you think NetSuite is expensive now, then read the the end of the following analysis on earnings:confused: We need to understand that they need to make tons of money to bring value to their shareholders ( including me at $20.00 per share loss so far) The company's guidance was only in line with analysts' estimates.…
  • I do not mean to reignite the fire. I respect everyone in this thread and poeple who can watch and edit them. What about first amendment right? NetSuite is getting hit hard everyday on this user community. Many users have expressed their feelings about NetSuite employees and especially the tech support. They have used…
  • I would rather to have high quality like Nieman Marcus than Wal Mart. WalMart would be equal to Quickbooks. Lets pay right and demand a lot. That will eventually help us to sell more effieciently and hence increase our profit. Have a great long weekend. You guys are all owsome in helping each other. P.S. ( I have been…
  • You completely missed my point Julian. :) I do not want, nor am I asking for a "WalMart" quality of software. My point was that sometimes cutting prices can greatly increase sales and revenue. So if NetSuite were to offer concurrent licensing, it might actually result in increased revenue, and better support an IPO. Now,…
  • If the centeral purchasing department orders for each department, I will set one company with different ship to addresses for different department. Advantage : Purchasing department can select them easily when they order on line using "place an order" in my account of customer center. This is the only possible way if any…
  • NetSuite speed has been outstanding in the last 10 days. Thanks;
  • I would love to know how I can print mass address labels using Saved Search.
  • Julian, I still get customers showing up, but they have orders within the last 60 days, but they're for projects. How do I get the customers who may or maynot have projects to just show up? Thanks How do you enter customer projects in NS? Do you create invoices or sales orders? It seems like the purchase date which is the…
  • Place the following filters in your search. It works for customers who have not ordered for the past two months. Purchase Dates : is not within 2 months ago and 0 days ago Stage is : Customer Inactive : False There is an enhancement request for the " last purchase date " I wish NS could send an "ALERT" email when a…
  • Wow, didn't know there was a purchase date. You can get the last purchase date by adding in tranaction type = invoice (or sales order if you prefer), in the results area, group by name and then set transaction date to summary by max. So we can list the last order the way you explained. Have you tried it yet? Can you write…
  • The real answer is that this board is addictive and very helpful for administrators who need to be exposed to every bit of this huge system. We get answer to many questions that otherwise would be unanswered for reasons that has been discussed here already. Have a great weekend.
