• Hi Reisa, When it comes up with that hold warning, insert that hold date that it should show, and it should come up with those unreconciled transactions - hope it works for you.
• I believe those transactions may have been put on Hold with a reconciliation, instead of Saving a reconciliation. Since you are dealing with very few transactions that are over 2 - 3 year time period, the reconciliation on Hold would be difficult to find, since you'd need to know the exact date of the Hold and enter it in…
• I should have mentioned if you are not certain how you'd like to proceed, feel free to contact me directly for a free web meeting to review your specific situation.
• Hi Natalie, Sometimes the reconciliation dates can be an issue, however if you were "creative" in working around the dates and still come to a zero difference on your reconciliations, you may be ok.
• Hi Pam, Roxie provided a great response below. The first bank reconciliation (along with other first time accounting processes) can be very intimidating when migrating from one system to another, so it can be hard and frustrating to do, especially if you've never done it before. Worse yet, if the first steps in each…
• I'd suggest you could do the following: a) go to Reconcile Bank Statement and bring up the account in question b) click History button and backdate the reconciliation history screen to say 01 01 2001 to current to make sure you are picking up all the reconciliations. c) are there any reconciliations that show a Difference?…
• See steps at link below: https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=17696
• Olivier has provided some great advice. That first reconciliation dated Aug 31, 2012, per steps below, can help, and any difference should be posted to an account called something like "Transition from QB to NS" so that it can then be decreased by any outstanding checks from prior to Aug 31, 2012. Also, before finalizing…
• One of the best options to delete these few transactions would be to go to the Chart of Accounts, click on the Account that was reconciled, and locate those unreconciled transactions by clicking the "uncleared" box and setting the correct date range. Then click edit beside the ones you wish to delete, and delete them.
• Hi Vicki, I'm just stepping out for vacation, however feel free to contact Tom Tavano per below to review this and suggest solutions for you via a web meeting if you wish. 1-877-285-6535 x 1020 / ttavano@baacoffice.com
• Nick is a good option, and we could be a 2nd option to provide suggestions and training during a free web meeting. Then you could decide if 1st or 2nd option is better fit for your company.
• Hi Skyler, Feel free to contact me directly to help you with this.
• Hi Josh, We have been able to help companies save time and costs while reconciling numerous accounts. Since you also contacted us directly, we'll respond back to you via email.
• This may help: a) take a trial balance from your old system, say at Jan 31, and enter into NS as a JE b) go to Reconcile Bank Statement and enter Jan 31 as the statement date, and then what the bank shows on that date, in the Ending Statement Balance field. c) click Mark All on any tabs with transactions [for exmpale, the…
• If you wish, please contact me to set up a free web discovery meeting, where I can review this issue(s) with you, and either resolve right during the meeting, or suggest steps you can take to resolve on your own.
• A few suggestions follow: a) reconcile weekly instead of monthly, as a monthly reconciliation is always more intimidating and harder to balance than a weekly one. Also, when missing transactions are found via the reconciliation, it's normally easier to resolve than only finding missing transactions monthly. b) ensure all…
• Jim, Regarding your first issue: a) go back into the reconciliation page, and insert the Statement date of the incorrect reconciliation (for example 11 30 2008) which should have been 11 30 2007 b) then take a printout of the information on both the Deposits and Checks tabs c) then click Unmark All on both tabs noted in b)…
• While you say what "we want to do" is nice in theory, I'd highly recommend you shorten the time period and do smaller reconciliations to get this work done. There's many things in life "we want to do in a certain way" and if we wait for that way (if it ever arrives) and hold up processes, progress, etc, we'll likely do…
• Nate, If only there was a report to run to help you with this issue. a) if some transactions were entered with a 2006 transaction date, and Accounting Periods are enabled, go to Set Preferences>Reporting/Search and set Report by Period to Never (if it's set to Financials only), and then run General Ledger / Trial Balance,…
• This may help you: a) when you are on the Reconcile Bank Statement screen, you can click the History button, and set the From date to go back in time, and click Refresh, and then see if the Difference column is always zero. If it is, that's good. If it's not, you can export to Excel, and then go back to the Reconcile Bank…
• Jason, If a) the vendor bill is business related and shows up under Pay Bills screen, you can select the credit card account under the "Account" pull down, just under the End Date field. When you process that vendor bill via cc (vs. a normal bank account), it will then show in your credit card account, and can then be…
• Jason, You are not highjacking, so no worries. Personal expenses booked in NS could inflate expenses, if not entered correctly. Post personal expenses by the owner / shareholder to a balance sheet (not Expense) account, similar to what is noted in the later part of b) below. If you need any clarification / assistance,…
• Depending on some variables, you may want to a) book all credit card transactions (via Enter Credit Card Charges, Pay Bills, if paying vendor bills via cc, etc) from all credit cards (whether in personal name or corporate) into NS, so you can then go to Reconcile Credit Card Statement, and ensure all transactions are…
• If you go to https://system.netsuite.com/app/common/otherlists/accountingotherlists.nl?tname=paymeth and click Edit beside say Master Card, you can set the Deposit To: field to be another bank account, such as Master Card or PayPal CC, etc. You can then do a similar edit to the other Payment Methods. Then all those cash…
• I'll apply for the Controller's job.... :) Let's remember that humans are involved in most processes, and some thought needs to occur, especially when dealing with critical business issues, like cashflow. Let's also remember that Controllers report to CFOs, so if CFOs mess up because they don't understand how reports are…
• David, A few suggestions: a) when you Enter Bills, they will not appear on your bank account in NS until you complete the Pay Bills or Pay Single Vendor function b) then, once a) is complete, those bank transactions (bill payments) could be matched automatically via online bank statement c) Write Checks in NS can be used…
• It may work if you load / start Adobe Acrobat Reader (AAR) first before printing. If AAR is running in the background before you click the Print button, that may work. If not, you may need to enter a Case under the Support tab in your NS account. Barry Boese bboese@baacoffice.com…
• Kimberly, As you understand, there are different ways to set up the merchant deposit processes in NS. Since there are several ways to approach this, here are some comments to assist: a) as with any accounting processes, once you decide to go with a certain process, it's ideal if you check with your year end accountant /…
