That could work actually Rex, will have a look into it and let you know ow i get on. Chris

Thanks for that, but the code is the same for both. The redirection is done within NetSuite once the item has been added so it cannot be changed. I was thinking down the same route as you, hoping that it would have added an extra variable to mark it as such, but there is not :(

Already under way Michele, but checking with other NetSuite users can help in finding out if its either a NetSuite problem or a website development one. Will wait to see the outcome with support.

We have the web analytics package, maybe its part of that?
-
Customer centre and checkout are being upgraded over the next year or so i believe, but the core system itself (i.e. table tags) is not being touched.
-
We were trying the content delivery network but didnt see any improvement at all to be honest, and have to had to switch back for PCI compliance reasons. The UI itself as Bosco described is also an issue for us, its nice and speedy now in the UK, but around 2pm GMT the system slows down and even worse between 4-5pm GMT,…

Hi Carol, thanks for the info, checked your shopping basket and that does look alot better than ours :) Looks like you have changed some of the source with javascript so ill look into that. Do you use PayPal express or just standard paypal? Chris

Whats Faceted Search now, is new to me :)

Pffft, im so there. I would love to switch to Magento if NetSuite offered it, i think everyone would. And to be honest, i wouldnt care if it had to write all the redirects myself, i would do it straight away.

Hi Craig, if you goto Reports > Web Presence > Internal Search it will give you all keywords entered into the search box on your site. It includes how many visitors searched that word, how many product results there were and also conversion rates. Im using it at the moment to improve our conversion rate for mispelled items…

Thanks Carol, i believe NS is keeping an eye on the forums recently :) We had a thread deleted last week, for reason i cannot explain on here :) As for GCO, we beta tested it when it came out and had so many problems we turned it off and forgot about it. My main concern is that checkout button itself. Because graphically…

What about online forms. Do those "connect to" or "push into" NetSuite in real time? We have a "contact support" form online that creates a support case in NetSuite. Also, does it give customers access to their NetSuite customer center data like order history and such? -T PS: I looked at your site…

I feel the same as Julian on this, the NetSuite UI is a very nice system, even though it has bugs you will never find a system that doesnt. When it comes to the eCommerce, its basically been created for small businessess. If you try to grow with it and provide your customers with more features then your stuck. I'm done…

Hi refurbups, thanks for the extensions :) Also, thanks about point 10, will have a look at that sometime and hopefully get something working. Point 12 i meant like in Magento all you do is add you Google account number in the backend and its done, in NetSuite you have to add all sorts of code to get it working, plus…

Well this is my list of things that NetSuite doesnt currently do or has the function but its defective that i sent off to my account manager and others :) 1. Coupon codes with extensive rules. NetSuite has coupons but have poor features (Based on price level, based on customer group, based on product, based on category,…

Lol yeah, something so simple huh. On another note i have been speaking with the management team about this and apparently its getting pushed up to find out whats going on in the near future. Might be worth pushing it at your ends to see if we can get something done about it. I sent a list of 48 features that Magento and…

Thanks Julian, to be honest the feel of user comments including my own is for NetSuite to scrap their eCommerce platform and integrate another leading platform. I think they are too far behind in technology and features to be able to catch up with the market, it would probably save them alot of money to partner up with…

Steve from FarApp did our Amazon integration which was perfect and have spoke to him before on Magento so we have options to go with. I understand stock obviously wont be 100% live but im willing to deal with that to get the better functionality. For instance, Magento comes with layered navigation, customer reviews,…

Tom, im already beta testing a local copy of Magento and i can tell you there are so many extra features its crazy, runs so much quicker as well (Have seen other online stores). As with all pros there are cons though. 1. Hosting costs for Magento. 2. If you use their free version you wont get any support directly from…
-
So it did affect your conversion rate? I heard other people say this as well...
-
I had a look at Volusion and it does have the same sort of features as Magento. I guess the advantage i built in to Magento was the fact that standard its free so i could build my templates before i start paying for anything and then once im ready to go, pay for the enterprise version and move over the templates.…

It seems to be the same story year after year, the amount of threads created in the ecommerce section on the forums proves its the most talked about product area. The biggest disappointment i find is that NetSuite knows their ecommerce package is pants, but no one, not even the administrators will tell us that something is…
-
Probably Jim, looking through the documentation there are a couple of references to it but nothing major. People were also mentioning killer fees from Yahoo at higher end takings which i think detered most people. If you dont mind, can i ask which platform you are migrating to?
-
YES! My thought exactly, was thinking this few weeks back when i started looking into it. It will take years for NetSuite to integrate all the latest things into their ecommerce and by then a load of new things will be out which will need integrating. Why not scrap their current system and integrate a leading eCommerce…
-
I think so Dave, if anything our sales went up by a huge amount.
-
Indeed, i can script but do i have the time to do so, the short answer is no! Again, coming back to other eCommerce platforms, this is all built in as standard OPTIONS, not abilities to add scripts to do those options. I appreciate that someone from NetSuite is actually repsonding to this thread, but i dont think they have…

We are looking to move to Magento as well. We are fed up with NetSuite's lack of functionality and interest in the ecommerce section.

Hi Cosper, you would need to set this up with a 3rd party DNS company if your current provider doesnt offer the option to use custom dns. We use a company called DynDns. This allows us to set the cname of our web hosting server, a different ip address for our email server, etc etc.

Hmmmmm, could be related to our problem where customers cannot login or register using Chrome, Safari and FF.
