To be clear you can do this if you use the contract renewal module/bundle. This does allow inline discounts. However we do not want to use this module however the functionality has been effectively developed by NetSuite.

As I understand it the historical metrics feature is meant to automatically save your pipeline (at midnight if recall correctly). I've a ticket open with NetSuite Support to determine if this is indeed a bug
