This is slightly off topic, but reading this thread makes me curious. How many Netsuite customers use Outlook? Since the new Outlook 2.0 was announced, we've moved from Outlook & Exchange to Zimbra and our staff only use the web client. We may move to Gmail in the next year or so. Just wondering if we're part of a trend or…

Thanks for the update Evan. Looking forward to it.

It's interesting that our stats from Google Analytics show that 74% of our visitors use IE and 91% are running windows.
-
Incidentally, rather than go back to FF 2.whatever, I run a Firefox plugin called IE Tab. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 It uses the Internet Explorer engine to render pages, but within the Firefox program. You can switch an individual URL on the fly or add domains to a list (like Netsuite) to be…

the stats for w3schools are only for that particular site, and they should not be considered average due to the nature of the demographic using a web dev site. Ahhh ... so we're not appealing to the geek set. :)

The book is a neat idea but to be honest I don't know how you'd go about putting in print something that is so different from customer to customer and changes (sometimes significantly) several times a year. Is a print version of something so fluid and flexible actually practical? Just putting that out there. Either way,…

That raises a few questions for me. Does this mean the entire cc# is hidden or are the last 4 digits visible? Can I apply for this now so that when we go live on 2007.1 on Friday it won't be an issue? Are the requests company wide or does one need to be filed for each user?

What's a fax machine? :) You can also fill out the form and scan and email it to support directly. Lots of new copiers will scan-to-email in one step.
-
Thanks June. Should the completed form get sent to my account manager?

I would be curious to know how many bugs are caused by customization and how many would affect a brand new Netsuite account. I'm sure I won't get the numbers on that but it'd be an interesting statistic.

I was counting on that working as well. I've got two pages on our site to finish and I was going to do that on Sunday (since we're getting 2007 tonight). I'll let you know if it works for me. Edit: Actually, it's the detailed description on categories that I need. Does that work? Edit 2: Now that we're on 2007 I can verify…

Lucky! We Canadians don't get that feature at all :( Hope it gets fixed for you soon ... I can see how handy that would be.
-
I can also see it being useful for showing transaction sums (like income this month) without giving access to individual transaction information.
-
Yup ... we have postal codes so the mail carrier can tell the difference between Bob's igloo and mine :)
-
We have a sketchy history receiving system email notifications as well. Now we phone support to find the actual date. It's worth the wait on hold to know for sure in advance.
-
Cool, thanks. That'll come in handy.
-
I've added us to the enhancement. This would be very handy and much better for us than an option that is either on or off.
-
Awesome! Thanks.

They don't really tell us where the money will go, they just list their future objectives in very vague terms. Some interesting reading in the s1 though. Strange things like loans to Evan Goldberg ... Is that our forum Evan? On May 15, 2005, the Company made a loan of $1.1 million to Evan M. Goldberg, its Chief Technology…

If you look at my earlier edit to the post, I just though that it was strange that they have the same name, not looking for an explanation. At no point was I inferring that the transactions were strange or unethical, just that it was strange that the names were the same. I didn't think a CTO would be posting help in the…

I think I'm most interested in where Netsuite would spend the money it raises. Infrastructure, development, marketing etc.
-
So ... if 11.0.6 is being rolled out, why are there no 'sneak peeks' for it. It's not very sneaky if we only get to see the list of changes and fixes after the rollout.

I'm thinking more of secure corporate sites. For example, we use adp to do our Canadian payroll (since we're still waiting for Netsuite :) ). They require us to download and install new certificates on a regular basis, for those staff that access the adp site. I'm not talking about the certificates that are downloaded…
-
Deleting certificates for other sites may cause problems. If you use secure sites that require you to download and install certificates, this might require you to re-install them. Not really a problem, just as long as you are aware.

That's interesting to hear. We've noticed as well that contrary to what Netsuite sales staff will tell you (or told us anyway), you really do need a speedy machine to run Netsuite. We were under the impression that all the work was being done server side, but with AJAX that's clearly not the case. It's also good to hear…
-
Good news from our end. Our users are reporting a marked improvement in overall speed today. That's great news ... for us anyway.
-
This should help.
-
Yup, it's been painful here as well. At least twice as long for everything. Right now we're just trying to get all the serious 11.0 kinks worked out. Maybe we'll get to slowness issues by Thursday. I'm glad Netsuite is ensuring my job security :) More on speed issues here:…

I read somewhere (sneak peeks maybe) that it will be part of the next update (2007.1) which for us is October 12th.
-
Will this new integration only work with Outlook 2007 or 2003 as well?
