It show 0% for us too.

For example, I've got a shell extension (right click on a file and choose "Send to NetSuite" from the menu) This will display a record search dialog and allow me (via webservices) to upload the file. I've also created an Outlook Addin as the NetSuite supplied one is terribly limited. When I get these two projects past…

I like that idea. An admin portlet for our dashboards. That would be cool.
-
We use this one to transfer/store large files (like video and graphic design stuff). http://www.mediamax.com/

Hmmm ... now I'm curious too. It never came up during our recent renewal (3 years) so I guess it's ok, but some way to see/monitor the total size would be a good idea.

Not to take away from Angela's original intent but it would be cool to read some 'My Implementation' stories from various users. There's so much variety out there that would be interesting (at least to me) to read about.

Sounds interesting ... count me in. What about a google group or something? You can assign multiple members as admins (or all of them) so we'd all be responsible for maintenance.

I think a wiki could be useful if it was integrated into the Netsuite help center. Having one more repository for Netsuite help is not that helpful if it isn't integrated with the other features. Ideally, I'd like to see the threads in this forum be searchable from the help center as well. It would be nice to avoid having…

I would not like talking between songs. When I'm on hold, I put the call on speaker phone on low volume and barely pay attention to it. If talking came on, I'd think it was a support rep answering the phone and I'd have to shift my focus from what I was working on. I'm not talking hypothetically, I've been on hold with…

I'm actually surprised that there isn't any Netsuite advertising between songs. I could learn a lot during that time. It might be a good place to advertise new features although I haven't had hold times (at the beginning of the call) of more than 2 minutes this month. Here in my office, the hold music is played on one of…

Netsuite actually spent a big chunk of money years ago on a nice web client. They found later that most of their clients already have an email infrastructure and wanted to keep using that. Argh. An integrated client was one of our top requests at the time. We too came from Goldmine and really miss the integrated client.…

Did I say T-shirt ... what I meant was beautiful collared golf shirt. I also didn't mention that I had to wrestle it off of Chris Rosa's back. He's a strong one! It took 4 of us to hold him down :) It's pretty funny actually. In our office, the netsuite pens are highly coveted. We have 5 pens and 30 Netsuite users. 'Who…

I think most of my 'schwags' came from Netsuite training in San Mateo. I have some great memories from our training sessions. Too bad those stories can't be posted here. ;)
-
Wow ... now Evan's an author too. Too cool. Gotta get a few of these for sure.
-
I think you should make it part of the 'intro package' for new Netsuite customers. I got a Netsuite t-shirt and some pens, and while they are super cool ;) a Netsuite For Dummies book would have been a bit more useful.

You are absolutely right. We run into Netsuite roadblocks on a regular basis because as a charity, we do so many things differently than Netsuite would like. Since we are so different, basic user training is really up to us instead of Netsuite. It is important to us as well, we just do it ourselves. Again, a big end-to-end…

I like the flow charts. That's very helpful. I must say that compared to a year or two ago, the help documentation has come a long way. Good work Netsuite. I also listened to Anthony's introduction to Netsuite 2007's new features and that was exactly what I wanted to see. A nice visual and audio overview of the new stuff.…

Angela, What are you missing from a help/learning perspective? Is it introductory training for brand new Netsuite users or advanced stuff like the things that Evan is so good at answering in this forum? For us, we've found that brand new Netsuite users don't really benefit much from Netusite created tutorials and training…

And I thought it was my picture. Whew. PS: Yea, That machine was fun. I don't even like coffee but I had to play with it :)

I'll stop turning my manuals into pdfs for everyone then :) Chris, I miss you. I do agree that the live training sessions are invaluable. There's nothing like being able to bounce your ideas off knowledgable Netsuite staff at Netsuite. If they don't have an answer (Chris almost always does) then they can usually find…

Ah ... Netsuite training. It's time for a trip to San Mateo again. We also got a foam finger (I think Chris helped us steal it from someone's cubical), pens and as much Coke and Martinellis apple juice as we could drink. No training session is complete without a couple of Canadians in the class. Memories. Training and…

Didn't intend to put you on the spot, but you did open this can of worms. No worries :) We visited Netsuite after looking at 3 other vendors and finding that Netsuite seemed to be by far the closest match. The cost of our trip was less than 1% of the cost of Netsuite, migration and training so looking through that lens it…

Netsuite comes with instructions, just like a barbeque and just like a bbq, you need to pay for extra training if you want to do more than just turn it on. :) http://www.bbqu.net/school.html I think Netsuite has come a long way in improving its level of support. Two years ago we were ready to throw in the towel and only…

Netsuite as a product: 8 out of 10 (this is up from about 5 a year and a half ago ... too many broken new features) Netsuite customer relations: 5 out of 10 (5 customer reps in 2 years is too many) Netsuite support: 5 out of 10 (7 when we talk to Canadians, 3 if it's Singapore) Overall cost benefit: 8 (There's nothing else…

re: rocketcom.com They're even located in San Fransisco. That's convenient :)

We have all users using the classic interface as well. We found that having the same interface to facilitate a common training and end user experience outweighed having a tailored menu system. I guess that's related to Jim's comments in that for us, a change in the menu system would mean that all of our training material…

Thanks for the suggestion. Good to know about that option. Unfortunately, it hasn't helped in my situation. I have a field (type=document) on a custom record. The field does not appear in Analytics. I have verified that document fields on other records also do not appear. When I try to manually join to the document record,…
