thanks JJ. I do not get any error now but I still only see the records that employee actually enters the time and no record for when the employee does not. My search as you suggested is for employee object and on my criteria I also check to see if they are set for project resource, that's all. I wonder what am I doing…

thanks for the response. I have used inner join so it captures employees name even though there is no time card and that did not work. also I want to capture for those specific week that my report runs. I am using jdbc for extracting data. What formula are you suggesting to use? any comment is welcome. thanks again ava

thanks so much for your response. I tried to use your formula and it keeps giving me invalid expression. It seems to me it cuts end verbage at the end of expression. Any idea why is that? I am sure I am doing something wrong since it worked for u ok :) regards Ava
