Workflow with Event Types: Delete

Hi all,

Has anyone built a workflow using the Event Types of Delete? I am trying to build a workflow that will send an email with information from the document being deleted, before it deletes. I have set the workflow up as the documentation indicated but can't get it to work. Any ideas??
