Is it possible to add an Assembly/Bill of Material Item to a Sales Order?

We are trying to add an Assembly/BOM item to a Sales Order and not having any success even finding them in the system. Is it possible to add an Assembly/BOM to a sales order through web services?

If NetSuite could please answer this I would appreciate it.
