INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSION Error on SalesOrder add when setting custom form

Any ideas as to why when we upgraded our SuiteTalk code from 2009_1 to 2011_1 we suddenly started getting INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSION errors when setting the custom form on a Sales Order record add? I commented out the line of code that set the custom form value, and that error went away. I also went back and tried our original 2009_1 code, and that worked fine. The only thing we changed was 2009_1 to 2011_1 in any references to full class paths, namespace references, etc.
