SOAP Creating Sales Order get internal ID

Hi,

just wondering if anyone knows of any easy way to get the Internal ID of a sales order that is created by webservices.

Im looking at binding a cash sale immediately to a sales order that is created with raw xml soap.

Im hoping that there is an easy way to do this so my integration will run smoothly. any ideas greatly appreciated.
