SuiteBundle to SuiteApp

I have a SuiteBundle with Custom Records/Fields & Scripts. Now when I convert to SDF Project, NetSuite basically put xmls into two major categories:

1. File Cabinet

2. Objects

On the SDF Project, which I initiated as SuiteApp, I copied both contents in respective folders. Edited the manifest file with allowed features and added the locking/hiding xmls too.

Now here are the questions

1. Since there is nothing under the SuiteApps > com.companyname.appid, so would the above stated structure would be applicable for SuiteApp Listing?

2. After making changes when I tried to Deploy, it gives in SOAPException, without any intelligent error message
