Mass update Role permission
Dear Gurus,
I am tasked to remove user permissions to prevent them from deleting records and transactions.
I found out through the deleted records search and have shortlisted 63 transactions and records that should not be deleted.
The previous administrator has created over 60 custom roles and within, I will need to find and downgrade each of the permissions in their role from the 63 identified from "Full" to "Edit"
What I intend to do here is to match each deleted record with the role permission first.
After that, I know of 2 ways, both of which are absolutely painful.
1. Setup > User Roles > Manage Roles > Edit each role > Click through the subtabs, scan visually for each permission with the offending Full permission level, then change it to Edit.
