C# Webservice: How can I tell if a payment through credit card has been declined?

Through the c# webservice is it possible to return an error message that is also displayed on the netsuite app?  For example, when adding a sales order through the webservice and setting the getAuth = true the sales order is added but there is no message indicating that there was an authorization decline for a credit card.

Can I retrieve this error from the sales order after it has been added?
