New Custom fields not available in saved search after 30 minutes

I created a new custom item field over 30 minutes ago but when I try to select it in a saved search, it does not appear yet.  Had this happen earlier this week.  I have logged off and back on.  I can see it in my list of Custom Item Fields but not in a saved search criteria or results.  The field is Store Data=True and is not disabled/hidden/inline text.

I was able to do a CSV import to populate the new field and I have done this hundreds of times in the past.

Is there a latency issue going on lately?
