Purchase Order custom status

Hi,

We are using advanced approval purchase order workflow. The process that we have is requestor creates PO and clicks submit button then it updates the next approver/next role approver but, the problem is if any of the requestor forgets to click SUBMIT button then it wouldn't show the approver details.

I have created a saved search to show the POs which are not submitted for tracking purpose. But, is there a way to remind the requestor to submit the PO ( i think it is possible through worklow action - return user error). Can you please suggest if there are any best solution for our problem?
