Custom Record Permission List

Hi,

I have a custom record which has a field linked to customer records, I need to make it so a certain Role, Role A, can only see custom records related to Customer A and that Role B can see all other customrecords but no Customer A custom records.

Is this possible to do?  If so How?

I thought maybe setting a search in the permission list but can only set the search results column and can't see how to create a search which shows for List View, Dashboard Vie, Sublist view etc I have a search created which has all those ticked! but it only shows in the search result column!
