Display Pop on Selected Items

N.B - I'm not a developer/scriptwriter.
We dropship 99% of our items but unfortunately, one of our Vendors who we stock around 8000 Items has closed all their warehouses due to the virus. It doesn't make sense to make all those items inactive and take them off the website, so I've been trying to get my head around this issue and one way I've thought of is to display a pop-up, so when a customer visits one of these 8000 items it tells the customer - "Unfortunately this item is no longer being processed by the manufacturer due to the warehouse being closed indefinitely.
