customer center presentation tab display customer information

I created a presentation tab for customer center and I am trying to display customer information using <%=getCurrentAttribute('customer','entityid')%> but I am getting error below :

[Error processing dynamic tag getCurrentAttribute('customer','entityid') : record customer 1111 not found]

Is that a valid error or am I missing something? Is it really possible to show customer information on presentation tabs?
