Increment Numeric Field using Workflow
I need a workflow to increment the value of a numeric field by 1 when the workflow is triggered.
The field is integer number:
And the workflow formula is:
Which is based on SuiteAnswers Answer Id: 30843
When the field is empty, triggering the workflow sets it to 1 (correctly)
When the field is set to 1, triggering the workflow sets it to 11
I thought this was behaving like a string field, but I wasn't able to get the 'TO_NUMBER' function to work with the workflow.
Strangely, after 4 triggers the field shows 1,111 so this is clearly a numeric field, but the + function in the formula appears to be concatenating it in a string format rather than addition.
