How to display message after record submit

Hello,

We have a problem I am not sure how to solve.  Mgmt wanted a script to automatically create a Cash Sale record once an order has been fulfilled.  We created a User Event script that creates the record after the item fulfillment record has a status of Shipped.  The problem is they also want a message to be displayed saying that either the Cash Sales has been created successfully or if there was an issue to display that message.  Since the record is created via a server side script, I have no idea how to do this.  I know NetSuite
