Reclassify sales orders into a separate accounting line item
Currently, we operate with an online presence as well as B2B through wholesale orders. All online sales come through Shopify as Cash Sales and all wholesale orders are processed into netsuite as Sales Orders. Currently, our income statement shows all income as Retail Sales and product costs as Cost of Goods Sold. At the end of each month, we run a journal entry to adjust the retail sales by the value of invoiced orders in our A/R register and place those into a Wholesale Sales account.
